App-V 4.6 over internet streaming / access RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good morning / evening all,

I've always thought of this case, but never had the time to actually research it, but thought to start by asking the experts before I start the research and waste time without knowing one piece of info.

we currently use App-V 4.6 SP2 (moving to App-V 5 soon) with RDS servers to allow our customers access our applications over the internet and it seems to be working fine with an exception related to performance. so I thought to myself, "why not install App-V client on the end-users' computer and stream the application to them over the internet?"

I thought if we can use HTTPS for it all, then the client will download the package down to the PC and launch it from there, but I am not sure if this is possible.

so could you please tell me if this is possible on port 443 only, if you could point me to some documentation that'd be a plus?

    Thanks in advance.
