    Hi,

    How do you see the number of documents in a document library in WSS 3.0?

    If you're an admin you can click Site Actions > View All Site Content, or navigate to this page using /_layouts/viewlsts.aspx.  

    This will show you all lists, with the number of items in them.

    You can also: -

    1. Map to a network drive and see in the Status bar how many overall items are in the library
    2. Add a total under the title / name column in the view and this'll tally up how many items are in the library
