    I have a table as a formatting reference in Word 2010. What I want to do is copy the format and save it as a custom table style. Then I want to apply that style to existing tables which are populated throughout the document

    So far I have only seen how to complete this via "Quick Table Styles" but this is not what I want as this inserts a new table into the document. What I want to happen is I want to apply my custom table style to existing populated tables. Any ideas how to do this?

    As far as I know, there is no way to create a table style based on the currently selected table, unfortunately.
