Journal Rule Not Working Completely RRS feed

Answers

  • User1@domain.com to User2@domain.com = User1@domain.com being journaled and not User2@domain.com.

    User2@domain.com to User1@domain.com = User2@domain.com being journaled and not User1@domain.com.

It's almost like the rule cannot process two mail recipients at the same time so it gives priority to the sender or it sees the sender first and cannot process the receiver in time.

Thanks for the clear e.g.  So your issue isnt that user2 isnt targerted.  It's that you expect 2 journals to exist.  This would mean duplicate data, more storage, also remeber SIS doesnt exist anymore so it would not be good to do this.  Exch is smart enough to know that both User1 and User2 need to be jounraled therefore when either send a message to the other, Exch will stamp the message header with XExch50:JournalRecipientList. Therefore you will see one journal.  This was similar in exch 2007 too.
