hi Guys,
The Win2008R2 Standard edition look to support upto 4CPUs. So does this mean; it can support 4 quad-core processors?

The way i read it, the limit is on sockets not cores, so 4 quad core = 4 sockets and you shd be alright, but i'm not good at licensing so i'll watch this space for more.

here 4 cpu = 4 physical sockets on the motherboard. in your case, 4 different sockets (each with quad core pro~) is supported. to know more about cpu cores please refer a previous thread
