Uninstalling Exchange 2007 after migrating to 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I try to uninstall Exchange 2007 I get "The Public folder database '[servername]\Second Storage Group\Public Folder Database' contains folder replicas.  Before deleteng the public folder database, remove the folders of move the replicas to another public folder database"

I have ran the move all replicas command on the server, I think the issue is stemming from an old Internet Newsgroups public folder that I have tried to delete but exchange 2007 will not allow me to delete it.  What is the best way to proceed?  We want to migrate again to Exchange 2016 but I cannot start that until we get 2007 gone.

    Thanks,

  • Try dismounting and mounting the database.

Try adding a replica of that "Internet Newsgroups" folder in Exchange 2010 and then remove the 2007 replica.
