Replication error RPC server in unavailable RRS feed

  • Dear All,

    when i run the replication tool i get the below error ,how do i resolve this error ,seems its not replication properly with the primary Dc

     First of all,make sure the dc is avaible now,check link is up, network connectivity ,ports are open,fw disabled,etc,(seems dc is unavaible)

    How is it going?
     
    If issue persists, I would suggest you first validate DNS health of domain controllers. DNS lookup failures are the common cause of 1722 RPC errors when it comes to replication.
     
    DCDIAG tool can be used to check DNS status:
     
    dcdiag /test:DNS /v /e

    Can you please check in the problematic DC what event id you are getting for AD replication.

    Check if the DCs are online and run DCDIAG /v command on all the problematic DC and find if there is any error.

    If there is no error then check if below ports are opened or not.

    Below Ports which needs to be opened for Active directory to function properly
    • UDP Port 88 for Kerberos authentication
    • UDP and TCP Port 135 for domain controllers-to-domain controller and client to domain controller operations.
    • TCP Port 139 and UDP 138 for File Replication Service between domain controllers.
    • UDP Port 389 for LDAP to handle normal queries from client computers to the domain controllers.
    • TCP and UDP Port 445 for File Replication Service
    • TCP and UDP Port 464 for Kerberos Password Change
    • TCP Port 3268 and 3269 for Global Catalog from client to domain controller.
    • TCP and UDP Port 53 for DNS from client to domain controller and domain controller to domain controller.
