  • Question

  • Hello,

I've noticed on a few of my computers within my domain have Windows firewall keep turning itself on.  Are there any known updates that are causing the firewall to be turned on automatically?

Your question is not in any way related to the topic of this fourm, Exchange General Discussions so I suggest that you find a Windows Forum to post your question in instead.

But...The firewall is on by default in the OS so maybe you should investage why the method you are using to turn it off isn't working. Usually this is done in a GPO.

  • Hi,

We talk more about Exchange in this forum.

For issue about Windows firewall, I recommned you post the issue in forum for Windows.

If you have domain group policy enabled, then please check GPO to see if you have policy settings on windows firewall.

Besides, please check your anti-virus application log.

  • Xiu Zhang, and Martina Miskovic you totally blew off Habanero29 on this thread. The fact Windows Firewall will prevent some of the Exchange services from working when turned on makes Habanero29 completely valid here.

Just because you don’t have an answer to something does not give you the right to down play someone’s question.

Delete my post if you like whether you think it is invalid, or rude, but I won’t stand for bad IT. Also I can’t be any ruder than Martina Miskovic was here.

  • When I got in my car this morning it wouldn't start. I think it's the on-board computer. Can you help me?
