  • Question

  • Can you install compliance manager on an individual networked PC for training purpsoes. And run some baselines against just that PC to see how it stands up to the default MS provided baselines? Are tehre any requirements I'll need for it to install on a PC as opposed a server?

  • Yes, you can install it on individual machines whether they are running server or client editions of Window. However, SCM is a tool for managing baselines, it is not a scanning tool. If you want to scan systems for compliance you'll need System Center Configuration Manager or a SCAP-capable scanner.
