Keyboard problems after Win 7 upgrade RRS feed

  • Question

  • My keyboard works fine in Word, notepad, etc. It's just my numeric keys that seem to have problems everytime I try to type a number or a symbol using shift then a number on a webpage, address bar, etc.

It just doesn't work. I don't understand what I need to do. I can use my function keys, my alpha keys, shift, enter, and everything else just fine... just my numeric keys don't work.

I have already uninstalled, re-installed my keyboard, tried the fix-it button and nothing. Please help.

    Hi,

Before moving on troubleshooting, I want to confirm the following with you.

1.Whether this problem only occurs on a browser? If so, please let me know the browser name.

2.Does this problem occurs on Clean Boot?

I suggest that you may reinstall the Keyboard driver and USB controller. Then check the issue again. In case this issue occurs again, try to restore your machine to an earlier point.
