  • I can also move the weather gadget completely out of the screen, even in Windows 7 RTM. I don't think it is a bug, it is probably "by design".

  • Hi, cheungz:

    The position of gadgets is stored in the Settings.ini file that is in C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar.

    For example, I have this in my Settings.ini file:

    PrivateSetting_GadgetDropLocationX="XXXX"
    PrivateSetting_GadgetDropLocationY="YYY"

    (Where "X" and "Y" are numbers.)

    You have to terminate the process Sidebar.exe before editing the Settings.ini file.

  • OK, i know what you want to say,
    However, Many of the users may not know how to set or they may said that they couldn't find this folder.
    So, i hope that it should be locked according to the screen resolution.
    Hope you know what i have said.Sorry for my bad english

  • If you close the gadget and reopen it will reset even without changing the ini
    They always start in the top-rightmost position.

  • DO YOU MEAN IT WILL RESET THE POSITION AFTER REBOOTING THE MACHINE?
