Sleep Problem, computer powers off while sleeping RRS feed

  • Question

  • If I set my pc to sleep, it will sleep for a while and then just power off completely on its own.  The power button will no longer turn the pc on again.  I must turn the pc off in the back and then back on.  Then the power button will bring the pc back on.  This is a new pc and we have changed just about everyting in the pc yet the problem persists.  The manufactures blames windows 7 for the problem.  Is there no fix for this.....any help would be appreciated.

Answers

  • Try this: Navigate to the Power Options in the Control Panel and select your Plan > USB Settings > USB selective suspend setting and then select Disabled.

Sometimes keyboards and other USB-devices are causing problems with the sleep-mode of Windows.
