Project Portfolio Dashbord iPad App not working with 3rd party authentication RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Community

one of my client is using F5 authentication capability to enable same sing-on for Project Online.

the authentication process is as follow using a web browser:

1- user enters login in office 365 login page

2- user is redirected to f5 authentication page

3- user us authenticated with his company username

all of this is provided that a Synch is enabled between local AD and o3665 AD (which is the case here)

we discovered that the Project Portfolio Dashbord iPad App is not working as it never pass the authentication.

any idea how we can make that work?

  • Hi Jerome,

I think the F5 vendor have to solve this. I have similar issues here in Denmark.

BTW - have you made sure users are also added to the SharePoint PWA groups (you probably have but just checking)?

  • thanks for your reply peter.

I agree about F5 and I, yes the users are in the PWA groups (i will triple check anyway).

it looks like colleagues of mine have the same issue with ADFS authentication. is it working for anyone?

  • ADFS we are using internally, and the new portfolio dashboard as well. No issues there. We did have some around a year ago, which was caused by a missing update to the Windows (AD) server.
