Suddenly Can't Distribute OS images to DP RRS feed

  • Question

  • We dont use SCCM much mainly just OS deployment, and i'm the only person who admin's it so I know no one has been messing with it. But we were about to update an image the other day and it unexpectedly wont distribute to the dp. We're on a single server. Drivers deploy fine, but OS images wont. Even if I put the images in the same folder as drivers (i imagine this removes any permissions issues). Images that Distributed months ago will no longer update on the DP and fail. But the same wim worked in March or so without issue.

I'm no SCCM expert but i'm pretty stuck on this one. The gist of the log is below. I tried to remove the nonsense to make it easy to read.

Taking package snapshot for package MDS0002E from source \\sccm-server\source$\Test DP.wim

  • Unfortunately, that error code is non-specific and simply means "Generic Failure".

Have you tried disabling (or completely removing) your AV software?

How about a simple reboot of the site server?

  • If it's still not working, then have you tried to re-download a system iso file, include all files in the source location and then try to import again.
