    1.       I know none of the FCS roles are supported on cluster but can I use SQL Cluster for FCS database ?

    2.       None of the FCS server roles supported on 64-bit OS but can I use SQL server running on 64-bit OS for database?
    3. Does FCS support SQL 2008 as database server for collection\reporting databases?

  • Yes you cannot install FCS Collection/Reporting DB on SQL cluster. But you can install FCS Agents on servers that are clustered. Also, it recommanded to configure FCS to skip certain files or folders when it scans app servers like Exchange. for more info : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943556/en-us

  • Hi,

FCS v1 does not support running on a clustered node. The server roles are also not supported on clusters.
Yes you can install SQL x86 on 64-bit OS.
    FCS doesn't support SQL 2008.

    Thank's.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the reply. So that means i can't place FCS collection database\reporting database on SQL Server that is clsutered?
But i believe i can put FCS client agents on servers that are clustered (like exchange clustered servers or sQL servers or any other applications servers running as cluester)?
