  • Hello,

You are better off asking this question in the Exchange forums.  That said, the basic steps you will need to take are:

    1.  Establish forest trust relationships between your domain test.com, and each of the acquired companies' forests abc.com and xyz.com. (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc755700(v=ws.10).aspx)

    2.  On your Exchange server, set abc.com and xyz.com as authoritative accepted domains. (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124423(v=exchg.80).aspx)

    3.  Change the MX records for domains abc.com and xyz.com to point to your exchange organization via whatever mail gateway you use.

    4.  Migrate user mailboxes in abc.com and xyz.com from their current solutions to your exchange server. (http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2006/11/02/3396084.aspx)

    5.  Clean up the resources in the other domains.

Note that transition and co-existence can be complex subjects.  Your manager may not be willing to purchase new equipment or software however you should consider some consulting.
