Project Server 2007 theater specific permission. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am new to Project Server , We have a Project Server 2007 environment and their is a need to provide resources permissions on specific Theaters so the resources have view to their allowed Theater only.

Currently all resource can view projects under other Theaters for example:

Business Unit is BU under this Business unit there are 2 Theaters e.g. Theater-1  and Theater-2, resource of Theater-1 is able to see the projects of Theater-2 also and vice versa .

Please let me know how to restrict view of Theater-1 resources on Theater-2 and the other way around.

    Thanks & Regards

  • Chunmun1,

I am unfamiliar with the term "Theater" in project server terms, so I will assume you mean something similar to a group.

If my assumption is correct, then Project Server does this by default for the "Team Members" security group.

You need to make sure that the "My Tasks" category (default) is assigned to Security Group, and make sure the members are part of the project team.

    Does that help?
