IE 11 & Easy File Upload Tool - not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Since upgrading to the Windows 8.1 preview, IE 11 (v.11.0.9431.0) refuses to allow the Easy File Upload Tool to actually allow uploads.  Nothing dragged into the EFUT upload area of the server page will be added to the upload queue.

I've attempted to reduce all internet security to minimum, have ascertained that the Active X control is installed and enabled, have disabled/removed the control and asked for it to be reinstalled (unsuccessfully).

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Try changing the User-Agent to IE10?  F12, Ctrl-8, etc.

  • Hi,

do you know who wrote "Easy file upload".... viz: is it a MS product?

    WRONG.....

the is a security setting in IE for "Include local file path in file uploads".... probably the web site you are trying to use that third-party plugin is incorrectly programmed and is expecting your file uploads to include your username so they can gain control of your computer.

Include the addresses of any websites you are having issues with when asking questions in internet related forums.

  • Hi Rob, good of you to reply. The Easy File Upload Tool is a Microsoft product, provided to users of web-interface into Windows servers (in this case, Windows Home Server 2011).   Its not the similarly named Joomla product.  Its an Active X control.

    Best, S.
