Could not find the Manage Accounts option in File => Info Tab in MS Project 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am using MS Project Professional 2010 first time. I am trying to setup Project Professional 2010 Desktop to connect project server. Somehow I couldn't find the "Manage Accounts" option in File => Info Tab.

    Quick help is required!

  • Are you using Project online or the full client installation?  You are confident that you've installed Project Pro - not Standard?

You have activated the product, yes?

  • Hi Julie,

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I have installed MS Project2010 Professional.

Yes, product is activated and it's working fine for all my colleagues  in my organization.

  • Julie,

what did you tell him?  I am having the same issue.  I can only navigate to ALL Programs>Microsoft Office> Microsoft Office 2010 Tools.  There is no Microsoft Project Server 2010 Accounts.

I know this has been closed for awhile, but I need to fix this ASAP.  I had the "Manage Accounts" while I was on XP, but they upgraded me to Windows 7 and now it is gone.

  • You do have Project 2010 Professional installed?  Do you have a Project Server installed within the organization?

  • Has anyone fixed this issue yet?

I have the same problem on clients using Win 7 Office 2010 and Project Prof 2013!

They can also not "Open" a new project from server. They have to use the "Latest projects" button as workaround.

    Thanks for your help.
