  • Hi KatrinaGC,

Please check if "sctutil.dll" exists under C:\Program Files\Windows SteadyState. If not, we can copy one from another computer. If issue persists or error also occurs on other SteadyState files, we can also perform the following steps to reinstall SteadyState:

    1. Click Start and then Run.

    2. Type in regedit and then click OK.

    3.  Navigate and delete the following two branches:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Computer Toolkit

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Windows SteadyState

    4. Reinstall SteadyState.

    Best Regards,
