Geforce Gt 240 RRS feed

  • I am going to install windows 7 and I was just wondering if this graphics card in my computer would support windows 7 aero, if not i would just stick with windows xp

    Pc Specs

    Pentium 4 540 ht

    geforce gt 240 1gb ddr3

    4gb of ddr2 ram

    300 watt power supply

  • Yes.  The minimum requirements for Windows 7 are:

    CPU: 1.0 GHz
    RAM: 1GB
    HD: 20GB free space (16GB for 32-bit)
    Video (for Aero): 128MB dedicated

    I would recommend at least 256 MB video RAM for Aero, which you have more than.
