Lync 2010 to Lync 2013 Trusted application Migration RRS feed

  • Hi Malli,

Good to hear my guide helped you out initially. :)

When you migrate, you will need to remove this Lync 2010 configuration of a trusted application pool and recreate it so it refers to the Lync 2013 pool.

  • Hi,

You cannot move it to Lync Server 2013. You need to create new trusted application server and select Lync Server 2013 front end pool as the next hop.

    Configure Trusted Application Servers

  • I had the same query so thanks for clarifying. Just one other thing, in our environment, we have multiple Trusted Application servers. When I tried to add the Trusted Application in 2013 it said it already existed in the environment. So I'm guessing I need to delete them one by one? If so this may need to be done outside of normal hours so there is no disruption to the users who are using these trusted app servers for their intended purpose.

  • While the trusted application is still on lync 2010, will RCC not work for my Lync 2013 users?  I am trying to figure out when to move the trusted app to Lync 2013 along with my user migrations to minimize outages.

    Thanks!

  • What was the final solution here...is it as simple as moving the trusted app pool?  RCC just kept working without doing anything on the Mitel side?

  • Did you ever receive an answer on this question?  Will users still on Lync 2010 be able to use RCC if the Trusted Application is moved to Lync 2013?
