  • Hi,

You have chosen to restore the "latest" recovery point and that can only be restored to original location. Choose an older time to recover and you will have the additional restore options.

  • Thank you for your best answer,

I need to make a lab (disaster recovery scenario ), if the original server is down and need to restore a latest backup version on a new server (Fresh installation). what should i do?

  • Hi,

If the original protected server is down, then "latest" cannot work because DPM cannot restore to the original server to replay the last log that has not yet been backed up.

The best you can do is restore the last RP right before "latest", that RP will contain the last backup that had logs transferred and are restorable.
