Is there an option to hold 2 weeks of data on the Mongo DB in ATA Center and move older data in some other format to the NAS drive.

Customer wants to retain db data for 60 days and as per sizing tool 12 tb of data needs to be retain? Customer limitation is they have only 2 tb of SAN drive size and do not want to go to windows stripping.

Is there an option to hold 2 weeks of data on the Mongo DB in ATA Center and move older data in some other format to the NAS drive?

or if there is any other option which can be used?

Hello Rohit,

It depends on the packets per second received from all DCs. You can refer to the following table for planning the storage. Please also refer to the following article for more details.

If the sizing tool says this is the amount needs, you will need to have this capacity.

ATA does not support multiple partitions for the DB drive. it can monitor only 1 logical data folder, and when free space on this drive gets below 20% it will start cleaning data.

for ATA there is no need to retain more than 30 days of data for proper detection.
