Thanks Tim!
It seems to work, pending restart.
I will try to install SP2 later today.
I will report back if I was able to Install SP2.
I am wondring how this issue can accure?
You provide me with those 6 files whats the difference from the original files in C:\Windows\Servicing\Packages?
Feel free to explain or redirect me to a answer somewhere on the Internet!
Thanks again!

Hi,
This cause is the following three files on your system are corrupt.
Package_for_KB956572_server_0~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.0.1.5.mum
Package_for_KB956572_server~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.0.1.5.mum
Package_for_KB956572~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.0.1.5.mum
After replacing them with good files, the issue is resolved. It is hard to say why these files are corrupt. The cause can be various.

Hi,
Reporting back:
Both the KB956572 and W2K8 SP2 installed without any problems after replacing the files above!
Thanks again!
In my world those files should repair/check them selfs when using Windows Update or a standalone Tool !?
It would have saved a lot of time.Tuesday, August 4, 2009 8:23 AM -
