  • Hi there,

If this is for 2013 I would do the following:

    • Navigate to PWA
    • Click the gear in the top right hand corner
    • Click Site Contents
    • Scroll down to the Subsites section and click new sub site
    • Give it a name and URL etc.
    • Select Project Site template from the Collaboration tab
    • Click OK
    • One the new sub site click the gear in the top right hand corner
    • Click Site Settings
    • Under Site Actions, click Manage Site Features
    • Activate the Project Web App Connectivity feature
    • Now customise the site as required - remember not to delete any default lists or fields in those lists
    • Once complete save site as a template then associate this to the EPT

I would try to avoid using an existing Project site that is linked to project as this site will have properties already set in the site property bag such as ProjectUID and PWA URL.

    Hope that helps

  • I've always modified an existing one, and then saved it as a template.  Associate this new template with the EPT.

  • That was a great solution, thanks a lot..

One quick question here, Can I use the Site Template in a different environment?

For Eg. Creating this Site template in Test PS2013 Environment (download the .wsp file) and then upload and activate in another Environment (say Dev PS 2013 Environment)

    Is that possible..

    Kindly Suggest

  • Hello,

Yes that is possible using the steps you suggested. You will need to ensure that all features deployed / activated on Test also exist on Dev as these will be referenced in the site template WSP.
