How Can Project 2013 Reports Display in Project Web App RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am completely new to using Project with Project Web App.  How can you get a report in Project 2013 (let's use the Dashboard - Cost Overview Report) to show up in Project Web App?

I have published the site to Project Web App, and can see the tasks, schedule, etc, but none of the reports.

Do I need to configure reporting on the SharePoint site?  Or is this just not possible?

  • You can't natively use a Project report.  You'd have to recreate it in Excel (or SSRS or PerformaancePoint, etc.) and publish the Excel report to Project Server.

Note that for Project Online, you're limited to Excel and PowerView for your reporting options.  If you're on-premises, you would have more options.
