Error exporting to Excel from Web Client RRS feed

  • I have a user that is getting an error when trying to export a view to Excel from the ProClarity web.

     

    The error is:

     

    Your request could not be completed. 

     

    I have seen this problem for all users of a particular view, and in this case for a specific user.  Other users including my self can export the same view just fine.

  • I think I've narrowed down the behavior that causes the error.  When the user selects a different member for a dimension that is in the background, the view renders correctly, but when the export button is clicked we get the error.  If the default member is not changed in the background then the export functionality works fine. 

     

    I've been able to work around the issue by creating a slicer on the dimension and letting the user select the member they want using the drop-down, but in this case there are thousands of members so the drop-down is not ideal.

     

    Let me know if there is a real fix for this, or if this is a bug that needs to be submitted.
