We do need the actual log files (called a DMP files) as they contain the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

Please follow our instructions for finding and uploading the files we need to help you fix your computer. They can be found here
If you have any questions about the procedure please ask

  • First you need to update to Service pack 1

    Service pack 1 Update.

Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

Then you need to update these old drivers from as far back as 2001

    VCdRom.sys    12/19/2001 2:44:58 PM
    lemsgt.sys    2/6/2004 5:26:44 PM
    hwpsgt.sys    2/6/2004 5:28:51 PM
    mpfilt.sys    11/1/2005 12:58:46 AM
    Rt86win7.sys    2/26/2009 4:04:22 AM
If after the above you continue to crash upload the new DMP files

You also need to remove usbaapl.sys Apple Mobile USB Driver.

  • You can remove it like you would remove any application from programs and features (or what ever it is called on win 7)
