Problem with features and roles on Windows Server 2008

Question
-
I'm receiving an unexpected error when I try to add a role or a feature.
I already followed this steps: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971509
Didn't work. In the server manager there's a message at the bottom which says Last Update:Error. It's the HRESULT: 0x800F0823
I don't know what else to do.

This one may also help.
Error message when you install a .msu update package on a computer that is running Windows: "The Windows Modules Installer must be updated before you can install this package"
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/925316
When you use a script to install the .msu update package, the installation fails. When this problem occurs, the Wusa.exe process returns error code 0x800f0823.

Hi,
I agree with above.
The problem may be caused by the package requires a version of the servicing stack that is not present on the computer.
To fix the problem, make sure that you have the most recent servicing stack from the Microsoft Download Center, and run Microsoft Update to see if you are missing an update.
Best Regards,
Jay
