Recurring BSOD issue. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am getting a BSOD often times when I tab out of intensive games. When the blue screen came I didn't have much time to actually read everything but I saw at the bottom it said "WIN32k.sys says..." I know .sys files are drivers and stuff so I checked windows updates for any driver updates, but there werren't any. Here is the link to my minidump file. I have read a lot of other answered questions and they find this file useful. I seem to find that it is when I tab out of very intensive games that it BSODS. So I added my dxdiag in my skydrive folder also.

  • Hi,

    Bug Check 0x3B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

Cause: This error may occur due to user-mode graphics drivers crossing over and passing bad data to the kernel code.

Try other versions of graphic drivers.

Use Driver Verifier to find misbehaving drivers causing crash

  • These crashes were related to memory management (probably caused by a driver).

Please run this test to find which driver is causing the problem.

If you are overclocking (pushing the components beyond their design) you should revert to default at least until the crashing is solved. If you don't know what it is you probably are not overclocking.

  • I had the latest driver installed just 2 weeks ago, but I'll try the beta and ask again if it happens again. But I don't think this will fix it at all. Any other solutions?
