  • Hi,

    Pre-requirements for Wake on Lan:
    1. Computer must be connected to a power supply.
    2. Computer’s motherboard needs to be ATX-compatible.
    3. Wired Ethernet connection
    4. The computer’s network card (ethernet or wireless) needs to be WoL-enabled.
    5. The computer must be in either Sleep or Hibernation mode for this to work.

    Note:
Router and switch must allow the port configured for WoL, broadcast of WoL package should been allowed.

    Enable WoL on Windows:
    1. Open Device Manager -> Network adapters -> select your ethernet adapter and open its Properties -> Power Management.
    2. Check off options below:
Allow the computer to turn off this devices to save power.
Allow this device to wake the computer -> only allow a magic packet to wake the computer.
    3. Select advanced tab, select Wake on Magic Package and configure its value as Enabled.

In order to make this function to work anywhere, a remote desktop app that supports Wake-On-LAN is necessary, you can consider of using 3rd party tool/application.
