  • Hello stuartGriffo,

Can't remember the path but try this:

Go to regedit and find userinit, Delete the directories except the first one, you know below ",". This should help.

  • Hi stuartGriffo,

This issue occurs if the Userinit key in the Windows registry has been modified.  Please follow these steps:

    1. Log on the computer as an administrator.

    2. Start Registry Editor, locate the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

    3. In the right pane, right click Userinit – Modify.

    4. In the Value data box, type hard_disk:\Windows\System32\userinit.exe  (hard_disk refers to the disk on which Windows 7 is installed), Click Ok.

Hope it will be helpful to you
