Windows 8.1 mediacenter crash activation RRS feed

    I had product key to add mediacenter to my windows 8.1 professional (finnish),
    and I activated it. Next day it says my windows is not activated.

    1 It tell now my windows activation code to same as mediacenter and does
    not accept my original as for wrong version. I removed also mediacenter from
    parts of windows but it still keep version as mediacenter build 9600...

    Can I anyhow return this back to original professional version .. and remove
    this mediacenter or get it back to active without whole re-install of system.

    No, there is no useable returning point between installation (1.1. when I abandon
    windows 7 ...).

    Just asking if any easy idea .. There is not even windows backup to use in 8.1 anymore.

    Hi, 

    As I know Windows Media Center is available through add feature to Windows 8 function on Professional system version, did you add through the function?

    What's your produce key type? Retail or OEM?

    Please run "slui.exe 4" in Run box and activate your system through phone to check.
