Group Policy problems after Windows Updates

    Question

  • Hi All,

We've updated our servers on Monday, including the DC's. After updating everything successfully (as there we're a few that failed initially) we've now got a problem with the Folder Redirection policy. Here's the error we're getting:

An error has occurred while collecting data for Folder Redirection.

    The following errors were encountered:
An unknown error occurred while data was gathered for this extension. Details: FRSettingRead failed with -2147020590

I've tried searching everywhere for a solution, but couldn't find anything on this specific issue: "FRSettingRead failed with -2147020590"

Thanks in advance for any support on this...

Yes, that's the cause. But this file does not vanish during windows
    update...

    -2147020590 = 0x800710D2:

    # for hex 0x10d2 / decimal 4306 :
      ERROR_EMPTY
    winerror.h
    # The library, drive, or media pool is empty.
