Not joined to domain, no network/internet access RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Everyone,

I have been trying ot figure out a policy in our default domain policy that if a PC is not joined to our domain it does not get network /internet access. Does anyone know if this is possible with group policy or another mechanism?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

  • The best approach is going to be at network level  using a combination of firewall, proxy, and network access controls.  You will not be able to apply policy to a computer that is not joined to the domain.  Even if the computer is joined to the domain, restriting network/internet access is still handled by the controls metioned earlier.
