Create ADDS and ADFS failover on azure. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We have one server holding the ADDS, DHCP , DNS and ADFS roles on premises so we are on a single point of failure. We are planing to go on Azure to create a Windows server VM to act as a second DC , Failover for DHCP , DNS replication.

As for ADFS it's the most important because all our application are based on it's authentication, so a failover for ADFS is necessary.

What has to be done? create an ADFS farm so there will be a replication?

I appreciate your help, if you can provide me with some links and technical advise.

    Regards,

  • Robert,

you might want to consider deploying a pair of additional AD domain controllers in Azure and migrating your AD FS deployment to the same Azure virtual network.
