Windows 2008 R2 SP1 failure Error 800F0818 RRS feed

  • We are trying to update ServicePack 1 on a Windows 2008 R2. The update is being executed with WSUS. We tried to download the package from internet and the problem is the same. Error 800F0818.

    So it seems like you need to fix this.

    As a starting point, I would try simply re-installing the defective update:

    KB2685813: Update for User-Mode Driver Framework version 1.11

  • Excelent Idea but I couldn´t reinstall or uninstall the package KB2685813. I got the same error 800F0818 trying to do this.

  • I copied the corrupted files from another server following the procedures of this article. Problem solved. Service Pack 1 installed successfully.
