App-V 5.1 SQL Management Studio 2014 RunAs Different User

Hi

I am trying to launch the "SQL Management Studio 2014" shortcut with "Run as different user". The application has been published globally.

The error I get is:

The "Database Tuning Engine Advisor" works using "Run as different user".

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Does this error only occurs if you use run as different user? Also, are you running the correct .NET framework on your client (which the app needs).

Hi Roy

The application works fine when launching normally, .Net Framework 3.5.1 is present along with .Net Framework 4.6.1?. It is only when I launch the shortcut with "Run as different user" that causes the error.

The pre-reqs installed locally on the base image are:

VSIsoShell.exe

VS10sp1-KB983509.exe

Has anyone sequenced SQL 2014 on 5.1 and successfully able to use "Run as different user"?
