  • Hi Sunil Meti,

    According to your description, clients stop reporting to WSUS server, we may check the following things to troubleshoot:

    1. Check the HTTP hotfix, some clients may have been affected by a known issue with windows server 2003 http.sys and IIS;
    2. Check the network connection between WSUS client and WSUS server;
    3. Try to reset Automatic Update client use command “wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization /detectnow
    4. We may also check the WindowsUpdate.log on client (C:\windows\windowsupdate) and check logfile on WSUS server (C:\program files\update services\logfiles).
    5. Check if perform Server Clean could work.

  • Hi Anne,

                    Is there any other thing that I need to do it from the WSUS console or from the server end.

    What if I manually delete computer listing from the console , since group policy is enable do they turn up again themselves , I am not in a position to reach all client systems or it is not feasible .

    Thank you.

  • Hi Sunil Meti,

    I tested it in my lab that delete the computer in WSUS server GUI, the computer doesn't appear immediately, but it report to the WSUS server the next morning.

    So, the result indicates they will turn up again themselves after we deleting them manually in WSUS server.

    Best Regards,

    Anne
