Microsoft Account - devices issue

    Question

  • I have two Windows devices: 1) a desktop computer running Windows 10, and 2) a Nextbook NXW10QC32G tablet w/keyboard running Windows 8.1. My Microsoft Account lists my desktop computer, but not my Nextbook. I've read through several forums about this issue, and tried a number of suggestions, but nothing has helped. I suspect that my two computers are sync'd, because I just changed the background on my tablet, and it changed the background on my desktop PC.

    The Nextbook is fully updated. My User account is an administrator account, and the only account on the computer. I log into the computer with my Microsoft Account user name and password rather than a local account. However, the Nextbook has never shown up under Devices on my Microsoft Account online. I have downloaded and run the Microsoft Account Diagnostic program, and it says: Can't connect to the sync service.

    I'd very much appreciate any help/suggestions etc.
