Word 2010 - Rich Text Content Control - Headers RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

We are using Word 2010 with Service Pack 1.

I have created a fillable Form using controls, but would like to know how I can get the content of a Richard Text Control to be displayed within the document Header and Footer. I know how to do this with a Legacy Text Form Field in Word 2003.

    Regards

  • You can do that by applying a unique Style name to the content control, then inserting a StyleRef field in the header/footer pointing to that Style.

  • You shouldn't be mixing content controls and formfields in the same document. One result is that, having tabbed into a content control, you can only tab to other content controls. You can even end up in a situation where you can no longer tab out of content controls ...
