robocopy script file replication error RRS feed

  • i have run the roboscript on daily from data centre to DR site file server files coping to the DR site but we are getting the below error message the logs and data also not copied.

    2017/11/29 01:40:29 ERROR 1392 (0x00000570) Copying File \\132.201.0.1\d$\RISK\Hybrid\MIP\june-17\Securities Master.xls
    The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.

    2017/11/29 01:55:21 ERROR 32 (0x00000020) Copying File \\132.201.0.1\d$\System Volume Information\EfaSIDat\SYMEFA_1.txt
    The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

    Since according to this error, it indicates that corrupt file. It may also related to bad issues with the storage. Have you tried chkdsk /f Drive to find and repair errors on drive. Please check the permission on both the source and destination.

    And have you try to restore the files to do a check?

    Could you please locate these two files to do a check?

    0x00000570 is a file corruption error "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable".

    Do you have any available backup before the issue occurs? You may need to restore your files if the issue cannot be fixed.

    Generally this could be caused if metadata on deduplicated volume is affected. For example sometimes we will perform robocopy to copy files from a drive to another one with /mir + /b. This will copy System Volume Information folder as well, which corrupted the deduplication files.

    For ERROR 32 (0x00000020), file locked problem, you could confirm whether it is locked.

     Please also use process monitor to monitor the procedure:

  • Still i am getting error message from robocopy logs file
