Windows 8.1 issues RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have been using WSUS for about a year.  Our version is 3.2.7600.226.  Everything has been working fine until we added some Windows 8.1 clients.  They will download the updates from WSUS, but don't appear to automatically install them.  I've checked and KB2919355 has been installed, so that shouldn't be the issue.

The group policy for standard desktops applies to Vista, 7 and 8.1 computers.  It's set to automatically download and schedule the install everyday at 3:00 AM.

Here are parts of one of the log files.  I couldn't provide it all because it couldn't accept it.  The first part say no approved updates, but I believe there were at that time yesterday.

  • Hello,

    What is the current situation?

If you have any udpate please feel free to let us know.

  • I had seen the KB2734608 update before, but mistakenly thought it was the SP2 update itself, which I already have.  Applied it.  We will approve updates tomorrow to give us a test.  In the meantime, I'm researching the other suggestions given and will test those if KB2743608 doesn't solve the problem.

    Thank you.

  • I checked and KB920151 doesn't seem to be my issue.  I checked several of the machines and the have the domain defined in the registry and the dns suffix set.

I'm looking at the other suggestion.  Thank you.
