Dual Forking + RCC + phone-context=dialstring RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to configure a user for both Dual Forking AND RCC with OCS 2007 R2 and an MX-ONE PBX. For RCC I am using the RCC Gateway Aastra Collaboration Link. This software wants me to configure the line URI with the statement phone-context=dialstring at the end. Such as:

    Line URI: tel:17690;phone-context=dialstring

This works fine if I am only configuring RCC.

However, in AD, if I select "Enable Enterprise Vocie" check "Enable PBX integration" and enter a valid server URI to my RCC gateway
    Server URI: sip:gateway@mxone.com

I am getting a popup error message saying:
"For Enterprise Voice the line URI must be a valid telephone URI.
    Example: 'tel:+14255550122'."

With this said I basically have three questions:

    1. How can I make this work?
    2. What is this phone-context=dialstring actually doing?
    3. Are there alternatives besides using phone-context=dialstring?

  • Looking at the MX-One documentation it talks about dual forking and also RCC, however it does not seem to mention "dual forking with RCC" which is what you are trying to enable. Are you sure this configuration is available on the MX-One? Nortel working is the only one tested and approved for this configuraton http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/ocs/bb735838.aspx
