UAG 2010 - Remotedesktop Gatewayserver RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everybody,

    Is it possible to reinstall RD Gateway Server on a UAG Serverinstance?

    We got some problems with an installation of UAG 2010 and deinstalled the remotedesktop gateway (RD Gateway) server. After the reinstall of RD Gateway there are some problems to connect to RDP-Connections. The connection cannot initiated from the client.

  • Hello Freddie,

    There are problems when you manually uninstall/re-install the RD Gateway from the UAG machine, as the UAG "integrate" into the RDG as part of the UAG installation. Best will be to reinstall UAG after you reinstalled the RDG.

    If you cannot reinstall the UAG from some reason, you can try the following:

    1. Confirm WhlTSGAuth key under HLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Terminal Server Gateway\Authentication plug-ins and Authorization plug-ins

    2. You can try run the following executable: ..\common\bin\WhlTSGConfig.exe  (This executable run as part of the installing and you should usually not run it manually).

    3. Confirm you have the following interface: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\{82EDAB89-1BC4-45A8-B62F-29523913E1F7}

    In case any of those missing, you may want to copy the registry key from a working UAG enviroment.

    After you made the changes, you may need to restart the "Remote Desktop Gateway" service.

    Hope this helps...
