  • Question

  • Hi

Suppose if an oracle application is giving Permission Denied error in the user login, while the same .exe is coming in Administrator login what the changes we need to do in group policy for smoothly working of that .exe, in the recent post one of our friend has given one solution to check the compatibility by right clicking the .exe and select Run this program in the compatibility mode(Service pack3) even though it is not working,

one of our colleague has added the user in system time in group policy it is working fine in the user login but i am not satisfied with answer why because the .exe is not related to time setting, is their any other solution to check i need a quick answer for it

  • Hi,

    Apologize for the late reply.

Could you please tell more details about the application? Is the application installed on the computer or the application need to access the resources on this computer?

This might be caused by the application running under the current user account has not enough permissions/rights to access system resources.

For special application like Database, it is recommended to seek help in their website and see if we need to modify some special settings.

Please also take a look into Event Viwer, then check the application log and see if any errors that we could track with.

Besides, please take a check to see if the following article could help here:

Solution Center for Access Denied Error Messages
