In-line Multimedia/Video in Sharepoint Services 3.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am in the process of coming to grips with the wiki function of Sharepoint Services 3.0, and so far so good. I am structuring the wiki as an information/education resource and would like to host tutorial videos I have created for our business, but can not figure out how to do it! I would ideally like to have it appear in line on the wiki, or even open in a pop-up, but am finding it difficult to do; is this possible?

Also, I have used the html editor and can see that it seems to have it's own syntax - is there a resource covering this and it's usage?

    I appreciate any help, Thanks!

  • SharePoint Wiki out of the box does not support 'full' standard wiki mark-up languages. The most commonly used one is the  "[[page]]" markup that allows you to link to other pages.  Outside of that, they're basically WYSIWYG pages.  Embedding a video will be pretty straight forward.

If you want to consider using a more enhanced version of a SharePoint wiki, than a free CodePlex one is available as are some paid versions
