Interrupted outgoing email service RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Experts

I have two EXCHANGE servers with hub/cas roles and they are in NLB. It was working fine but suddenly-I'm getting below mentioned warning in event logs and my email service is interrupted. When I login there is email queue and there is delay. If I simply restart transport service then all works fine. Any idea what could be reason? Is below mentioned reason responsible for all.

Microsoft Exchange could not load the certificate with thumbprint of 18006999B2613A564868583AC539D45F0F877818 from the personal store on the local computer. This certificate was configured for authentication with other Exchange servers. Mail flow to other Exchange servers could be affected by this error. If the certificate with this thumbprint still exists in the personal store, run Enable-ExchangeCertificate 18006999B2613A564868583AC539D45F0F877818 -Services SMTP to resolve the issue. If the certificate does not exist in the personal store, restore it from backup by using the Import-ExchangeCertificate cmdlet, or create a new certificate for the FQDN or the server enabled for SMTP by running the following command: New-ExchangeCertificate -DomainName serverfqdn -Services SMTP. Meanwhile, the certificate with thumbprint DCC574B58BFB19E85009BBAE1A3E1AFE36F52237 is being used.

  • Hi Suman,

Seem like certificate related issue, and you might need to create a new certificate and enable it for SMTP service. I would appreciated if you may provide the following information:

    1. Exchange server edition/version’

    2. Get-ExchangeCertificate |FL
