Internet Explorer 8 & 9 on Windows XP and Windows 7 where if I click on Page/Send Page by email, nothing happens. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am having problems with Internet Explorer 8 & 9 on Windows XP and Windows 7 where if I click on Page/Send Page by email, nothing happens.  It should launch Outlook (We have tried 2003 and 2010).  I have verified that the default program is Outlook.  If I use Safari, Chrome or Firefox, the function works.

  • Hi,

Internet Options>Programs tab, set IE as default. check "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default web browser"

I presume you mean the Outlook.exe mail client... not Outlook.com online mail?

Chrome/Firefox and Safari... answer no and uncheck the options to always check if browser X is your default.

    Regards.

  • Hi,

Firstly, please double check whether the outlook is set as default e-mail program?

Also, check whether Internet Explorer is set as default.

In addition, test the result in Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

Change which programs Windows uses by default

    Hope this helps.
